This is a letter that I sent to EA and Crytek Concerning Crysis 2. Let me say that I loved the Crysis series, I have pre- ordered all of them and I have never seen such a blatant disregard for quality in a game this big.
I am writing to tell you how VERY disappointed I am with Crysis 2. I have counted the days from when I had the first one on pre order for the 2nd to emerge. Having this one on pre order as well, I quickly got almost 3/4 of the way through the SP game when all my catylyst points disappeared. I lost about 20 k total then started the game over. I then got half way through the second time around buying the suit upgrades as soon as I got the points then boom, I couldn't collect any more points. I then called you guys to complain only to be told that a patch was in the works but no ETA on when it would hit. Today still no patch but I found a cheat to give me full points for the suit. I started playing again and now I stopped because I just don't care about the game anymore. I have been an EA customer since the Sega Genesis days and I have NEVER been so let down by a game of this caliber in over 30 + years I have been gaming. It'll be a long time before I buy another Crytek game again. Just thought I'd let you guys know this. Some sort of credit or compensation should be given for all the people that bought this poor excuse for a game. You guys were all up in arms when people pirated and finished the game a month before it came out, while I would never do this, I am beginning to understand why some people chose to go this route. For Crytek to release Crysis 2 in this state, is just as bad as the people who download it for free. You're both ripping people off.
