Want more features?
We are working on a new applications system in the near future and are looking to implement many new features. We also have a huge list of ideas already requested and noted here

Please view this list before making a feature request.
In the meantime you'll find the application form system quite powerful and customizable. Here are a couple FAQs I've noted over time.
First here is the original launch post:

Where are the applications?
On the top right drop down there is an Applications link. Click to view apps and submitted forms.
Or view the bottom right notification bar (this is also in the works) you can see the yellow icon. When a new app is submitted, or a comment is made, or someone approves/rejects an application, this will show a +1. Click on the yellow icon to also go to Applications.
Can I post applications to forums?
Not at the moment, but we plan to implement this in the future.
For now check out the access levels on the application module and give them to your users to view applications that come in.
Applications not coming through!
Most of the time, this is due to the user not verifying their email after signing up. When a user registers to your site, they are required to give a valid email address and an email is sent out so they can click on the link. This is to stop spam and bots from signing up and makes certain the user has a real email address that they can access and get future notifications.
If the user does not click on the link in the verification email, the application will not come through. The user will need to verify and then the application will go through. If they have not received the email make sure they check the junkmail or spam filters. If still nothing they can reissue it by logging into your website or www.enjin.com and resending the verification email. If still nothing, have them write to info@enjin.com and we can verify them manually.
None of my users can see the form!
Check the view access settings in the module itself. If it's limited to registered users, your users will need to login in order to fill out and view the form.
There is a (1) on applications but I don't see any new ones!
Usually this indicates a comment on either Open/ Approved/ Rejected applications. It's abit difficult to see which one it's on (we will be fixing this in the future) but you can see a slight bolding of the application title.
This indicates there is either a new comment on the application, or one of your admins may have rejected/approved the application.
User cannot reapply
Users can only apply once to an application until they are approved. (I think rejected applications does not let them reapply unless you actually remove the rejected application) This helps to avoid double applications from the same user and also to avoid spam.
Regular forms
Regular forms act differently in that there is no comments, approve/reject function and users can submit any number of times. this is a good form to use for eg. "contact us" etc.
Comments can be seen by the applicant
We originally implemented comments so that the applicant and admins can have discussions or if they had further questions would comment on the application. We have quite a few requests for comments to be hidden and just for admins to discuss the application before approving. We're looking into this feature in the new updated system as well as the ability to post to forums. For now, be mindful that all comments can be seen by the applicant!
Can I Customize the Application system page
The application page (where you manage/reject/approve) is a system page. This means it cannot be customized and is set as is. When you view it, it will be placed under the top area of your home page. So whatever you have on the home page top area is what you will see above the applications area. (same with all other system pages such as register/mail/login)
I accidently approved/rejected an application.
If your application is based on registration, the most that can happen is your user is now approved to be part of your website, and may have an automated tag placed on the user. So to revert accidentally approving a user for registration you would remove this user from your user list, or simply remove the user's tag.
If it's an application for a random notion (eg. wanting to apply to be an admin) and the only action that takes place upon approval is an automated tag, simply remove this tag from the user and nothing else has literally changed in the system. The approval is just a 'notion'. If you have rejected an application, you may be able to place it in the approved. Go to rejected tab and approve. If this does not work, try removing the application altogether so the user can re-apply.
