Expect Infinity Ward to stick with the same formula for its second map pack for first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

The studio's community manager, Robert Bowling, shared details of the Resurgence Pack in an interview with Xbox Live programming manager Major Nelson.

As with Stimulus Package, the Resurgence Pack will sell for 1200 points ($15) and feature five maps: three new environments and two updated maps from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

The two Call of Duty 4 maps returning are Vacant, set inside an open Russian complex, and urban environment Strike.

The three new maps detailed by Bowling are:

Carnival: Map set inside a "desolated amusement park," says Bowling, with unique locations such as a rollercoaster and fun house.

Trailer Park: Cozy map featuring abandoned trailers and tight corridors. Bowling describes the map as a maze with various chokepoints.

Fuel: A "sniper haven," says Bowling, the map is based in an oil refinery and is one of the game's larger environments.

The first DLC for Modern Warfare 2 has been a huge success for Infinity Ward and publisher Activision. The number of downloads topped 2.5 million in its first week. The Resurgence Pack debuts on Xbox Live on June 3.

I'm with Carver and Helmuth on this one. I bought the 1st MP and we never play it. Plus, they will never make their way to League play, so it's only encouraging pub play.

Regardless of the cost, its still fun to play new maps, and revisit some old ones even if they aren't played very much.
