Like I said before I am not a AMD guy but I have used them before and I think your statement is on the money. I was going to try to do a build with a 3960 but I can not justifiy spending the money on it with such dismal performance gains on the 2600k. So, I am going to wait until the Ivy Bridge comes out and see if it is any better.
