The world's biggest strategy game's sequel will be with us later this year, but for now, the beta is as close as you're going to get outside of sneaking into Blizzard's HQ.
For some completely unnecessary explanation, StarCraft II is what happens when you invite a load of bug-things, some religious moon-elves, and a truck of humans over to a party, before realising they hate each other and want to murder the other guests in fast-paced real-time strategy format.
This party is strictly invite only, but you can get yourself on the list here. We'll be taking names and picking 100 of those at random to shower with beta keys - if you don't get one, it's not personal. Probably. If you do get one, simply follow the advice in the email, get over to Battle.net and download the beta client.
