TY Steve. I just wish that they would describe how the multiple drivers work in detail a bit more.

Cliff, in my own assumption i would say that they implemented 10 drivers, so that EACH speaker had its own driver, it would process the sounds to where they need to go, send it to that driver, to that speaker, and it would play through it, that way you're not meshing more than 1 speaker to play a single sound. but i have no clue LAWL. I still feel you need nothing more than a 2.1 setup (or even the 2.2 they have coming out along with the Tiamat 7.1). But i can't say i practice what i preach since i now own a pair of Turtle Beach's

Thanks Chris. I kinda understand now, although what I still am confused about is the fact that a driver is nothing more than a program written to tell the hardware to work by communicating with the OS. So why would each speaker need it's own driver? Or how would the driver accomplish what you're describing when all it's job is to do is tell the hardware to work? Wouldn't channels do what you're talking about instead of drivers?

Cliff - http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/93586-the-razer-tiamat-7-1-headset-sports-true-7-1-surround-sound

Essentially, think of each speaker as its own sound card, using different drivers to control the aspect of those speakers to do their own thing.
